We had ordered 2 doors for our home from Arya Bhangy 5 years back. The doors are still brand new unaffected by sun light. They are carved using machinery hence the designs are pretty good and not possible to obtain through manual carving. We were late in finding Arya bhangy, so the doors had to be altered from their actual dimensions to suit our home. It would be better if you visit Arya bhangy before physical construction of your homes. The prices are a bit high compared to other places but the quality is unquestionable.

I had taken time to write this review, to provide honest views, so that the people can make use of their service, if they wanted a quality product and service with good finishing’s. Arya Bhangy has fabulous collections of various traditional and unique designs to choose from. When I thought of making Pooja door, I approached many local carpenters and designers, but the quality and our expectations didn’t match with them. To be honest, they wanted to take the project, but didn’t have the ability of giving suggestions or share their thoughts & ideas to us to make it better. Whatever we tell they either accept it or say it’s not doable. Later I visited Arya Bhangy showroom at Rosy Towers, Nungambakkam and I realized that this is the exact shop which I am looking for. Mr. Prasad, Manager and his team greeted us. They explained about the door making. What type of wood is used, how it is seasoned in their factory, warranty and the cost factor involved and so on. We had a look at their finished works which was at their display and we were able to come to a decision making. Then the interesting discussion came up, which is the customization of the existing Pooja room to a face uplift without demolishing it. Mr. Prasad was eager and shared his ideas, how it could be done and both Mr. Ramesh and he visited our house and all the work started kick off, along with the bedroom door as per his suggestions. I had shared the photos below which is before and after the beautiful work done. All inputs from my end like the design of the two dwarapalakas, the top panel of Meenakshi Thiru-kalyanam, which all came out very well, with no words to describe the beauty of the hand carvings. The two doors with dasavatharam carvings of Lord Vishnu will keep you spell bound. On site work is done tremendously by Mr. Prasad & his team – Mr. Ramesh and Mr. Devan. Micro level mistakes were identified by Mr. Prasad and it was rectified. Their craftsmanship work is excellent. We got the product little delayed but got a good product and the work is flabbergasted. The door adds an extra beauty to my home and it gives a divine look.

Back in the 90s when I was a young college girl, I would often visit Best Wishes, the popular basement greeting card shop on Nungambakkam High Road, Chennai, near Taj Coromandel. Every time I stepped out of the shop I would be fascinated by the sight of a plethora of gorgeous handcrafted wooded doors in traditional designs staring at me from a shop called Arya Bhangy which was bang opposite Best Wishes. I dreamt back then that one day, when I have a home of my own I would have a door from Arya Bhangy and none less. What caught my attention was the Kerala designs with beautiful brass handles and the perfection of the design on each door. Cut to my 40s. We built our own apartment and there was no second thoughts about where our main door would be from. So, I went to Arya Bhangy, which was in the same complex on Nungambakkam High Road, and met the manager Prasad Nair. He was such a professional person, with immense knowledge about their products, their designs and he came with much creativity to help me customise what I wanted for my home. When he showed me the designs that were displayed and explained with pictures how they could customise for each family's needs, I was blown. The sheer choice made me confused. Each design was different from the other. The colour and quality of the wood looked so rich and almost royal. The intricate design reflected on the stunning craftsmanship. The attention to detail, the perfection in every minute corner was a marvel to just stand and stare. Prasad was so precise in his points and spoke with amazing conviction that I was convinced I was making the right decision. In no time, they had come over to our apartment to take the measurements. Again, they were so prompt in suggesting a design to match by budget. I sent the design to my husband, a Captain who was sailing in the high seas. He couldn't contain his delight at the design and asked me to go ahead and add more to it even if it exceeded our budget. And that's how our Manichitrathazhu door was made. I owe it all to Prasad who meticulously managed the process for us from creating and crafting the design stage by stage, keeping in mind my budget, right down to the point where he brought his team to get it fixed at home. We had zero issues or worries along the way. He is the perfect customer relations manager that a brand like Arya Bhangy needs. Today, our door is not just a subject of wow among visitors but a spot that is reserved for the best pic beside it. We are proud of our door. After 7 years of this door adorning our home, nothing, absolutely nothing has changed nor have we had any reason to call them with issues. Touch wood! The quality and its beauty prompted us to buy again for our second house. Service is excellent by Mr Prasad T Nair, the chief executive and his professional advice on the design of the doors enhances the quality and service. The service of Mr Devan during fixation of doors is appreciable. But it is too costly. The worrying point is the accessories cost are high. Aryabhangy should negotiated with the accessories vendors for better price. One suggestion to Arya bhangy is kindly provide the accessories cost at the time placing order. Highly recommended to all including those who feel costly as it is only a one time purchase.

The highest quality hand carved doors in India are easily from Aryabhangy. They did an excellent job with my villa main door. The builders had done a very ordinary job with their non team door but after fixing our new door from Aryabhangy, the entire outlook of the house changed for good and we got a lot of compliments from our (jealous) neighbours. Premium hand carved doors is their speciality. Good designs and workmanship but very very expensive considering similar products are available in Bangalore. My Friend has an issue with some doors and they assured to rectify it. They took the doors for rectification and returned it but problems still persisted. I noticed that they had applied some filler and polished it before returning. Very bad after sales service. Buy at your own risk.

I have bought four carved doors from Aryabhangi and some developed some problems. But when I requested, they have exchanged it to my liking. Even though I had to pay a bit more for a better product from their store ,I was so happy to see the the new doors in place.
